OCDA REPORT: OFFICER-INVOLVED SHOOTING
SANTA ANA, Calif. – The Orange County District Attorney’s Office has completed its investigation of the January 31, 2021, officer-involved shooting by Costa Mesa Police Department Officer Matthew Gonzales. Based on the results of that investigation, OCDA has determined that no criminal charges will be filed against Officer Gonzales.
By order of the Orange County Superior Court, further information concerning this incident may not be released publicly and is sealed pursuant to California Penal Code section 851.92.
